Inspired by Conservation International’s film ‘Forest’, Mikael explains… ”As a nature photographer I am inspired very much by the natural world around us, from the peaks of mountains to the depth of the seas, however it is the forest that I am always drawn to. Their incredible strength, beauty and natural resilience, which I have captured in this photograph. I have been photographing woodland for many years, and in that time countless trees around the world have been felled for our own gain. Trees that provide so much for us, that clean our air and water and are a home to an abundance of creatures around the world. This devastating destruction needs to stop immediately, it is time to put our planet first, and we can start by letting our forests thrive.”
